I have always been a storyteller. In fact, I have an entire folder with unfinished stories just waiting to be told. But, I am a bigger fan of the true stories told to inspire us. COVID-19 has left so many of us in a tizzy with rearranging what we thought was normal. While some have been adjusting to the adjustment, others have been using the time to hone other skills and making the best of the times.
One of my favorite things about Social Media is its ability to keep us all connected. People grow apart and live their lives but we can still be apart of the moments. My friend Sharline now lives in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada but she’s from the quaint neighborhood of Belfield in St. Mary, Jamaica. We started high school at the same time but didn’t have a relationship until we were both on the executive body of Key Club. Although we haven’t seen each other in a very, very long time, we have been supportive of each other in our pursuits. In fact, she was the first person to purchase my book, Bloom by 30, before I made the official announcement.
Sharline has been doing well but that’s not without struggle or pain. She is currently a financial adviser, fitness instructor, content creator, entrepreneur, and proud mother. She recently added author to her growing repertoire, a journey that I am proud to be part of.
Sharline’s first book Purpose is dedicated to her first child Milaunie. Here is what she had to say about Purpose:
Becoming a mother is supposed to be one of the most rewarding experiences a woman could have. Unfortunately, becoming a first-time mom was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I was only able to get through this by God’s Grace.
No one knows what the future holds but to God be the glory, we know who holds the future. Giving birth to my first child was just the beginning of my story. The story that brought me to my purpose.
All our stories are worth telling and I am happy Sharline was brave enough to tell hers. Get your copy of Purpose and support Sharline on her journey.
